An industry-sponsored group project aimed at designing a CRM solution for renters, brokers, and property developers. The focus was on identifying pain points and opportunities by analyzing user journeys and workflows. As a researcher and UI designer, I conducted user research, created personas and journey maps, and crafted wireframes and prototypes in Figma. These efforts ensured the platform was streamlined, efficient, and user-friendly. Collaboration with team members and industry stakeholders played a key role in delivering actionable UX solutions.

Re-Designing Tally Calculus

Tally Education’s online student portal, particularly its AI-powered proctoring system, faced usability challenges. Students found the exam interface confusing and stressful, while educators and content creators struggled with an inefficient system to upload and manage test questions. The goal was to create an intuitive, accessible, and efficient platform that streamlined both student experience and exam content management.

Insights from stakeholders

•Improve instructions card on test taker’s site

•Warnings could be a pop up and in the middle of the screen ( much more visible)

•Test summary can be more visual

•Improve the instruction UI with more visuals

•Next, previous is not user friendly in the test screen

•Test should be more intuitive

•Better representation of section ( user should know which section they are currently in/ how many more section are remaining)

•Progress bar for the test would be useful

Additional Insights from student interviews

Capturing problems faced by some students
Getting confused between the next question and finish test.
Finding the onboarding a little complex sometimes. Example: multiple steps for installing the extension
Video proctoring instructions can have some images/visual elements to improve the user’s understanding
UI should be minimalistic and functional

Possible solutions

Having two assessment names can be optional
Master values- Data entered should be displayed on top. (should display the most recent data on top)
Change the iconography
Change the colors of some fields as they look disabled
